Buddha Zhen Teaches His Kids

Buddha Zhen and sonZhen Ming-Mou, born 1991, started attending classes that same year. Before she could walk, her dad carried her around while doing kicking exercises and held her in the air giggling as he led the Shaolin Kung Fu classes in his North Hollywood condominium through their situps.

Ming led her first class of students, through the Yoga Stretching, and basic kicks and punches of our Unitarian Church Tai Chi classes when she was only five years old.

Ming recevied the Utah Grand Champion Award at age six from the Karate Association Tournaments in Utah.

Ming received a WHITE + 3 Green Stripes SASH from Shaolin Chi Mantis in 1998.

Zhen Ming-Mou

Ming Tai ChiZhen Ming-Mou, Crystal Eyes of Truth, was among the first students to study the original Shaolin Chi Mantis programs and be a student of Tai Chi Youth.

Ming is one of the few students to ever attain the ORANGE SASH level of Tai Chi Youth.

Shown here is her younger brother, Zhen Song-Dao, looking up to her for guidance and instruction.

Shaolin Kids are role models and helpers and hard workers.

Big Brothers and Big Sisters

TCY StudentsIn 1994, Buddha Zhen offered a free year of Tuition to any youth or their big brother or big sister of the BIG BROTHER ORGANIZATION. A dozen youths took up the free lessons. Several remained faithful and dedicated students until Buddha Zhen left Utah in 1999.

Buddha Zhen still donates scholarships to children and teens who cannot afford classes.

No student has ever been turned away from our classes since 1984 for financial reasons.

If you want to learn Shaolin Kung Fu, Buddha Zhen wants to teach you.
